Our Programs

The Blue Ribbon Project offers a range of programs designed to support children and youth in foster care, programs to help prevent child abuse and to raise awareness, and strengthen the skills of older youth in care who are at risk of aging out of the system without a safety net. Each program reflects our commitment to compassion, community, and lasting change.

Backpacks of Love

The Backpacks of Love program provides emergency backpacks to children entering foster care, filled with essential items like clothing, toiletries, and comfort items to help ease their transition during a difficult time.

Mirah’s Closet is The Blue Ribbon Project’s foster closet, offering children and youth in foster care a free, boutique-style shopping experience for brand-new clothing, shoes, and personal care items so they can choose what fits their needs and style with dignity and comfort in mind.
